Diving in Hallaniyat Islands

Hallaniyat islands are located off the south eastern coast of Oman. There plenty of fishing and diving sites in hallaniyat islands and every time you can discover new places. Hallaniyat islands are an undiscovered fishing and diving region as where you can expect everything. Giant oceanic mantas can be seen usually in November and December. From January to April you can see humpbacks whales and also you can yellowfin tuna in some diving sites depending on the season. All other types of species can be seen all around the diving season including giant groups, barracuda, Green turtles,dolphins, different types of trevally and thousands of different types of fish. These islands boast a healthy marine life awesome coral reef.
These areas are accessible for everyone with diving license, but we highly recommend advanced certification as divers can dive up to 28m where in some season there are some current. The calmest months are January to March.
Diving
Scuba diving in Southern Oman is one of the best places in the world as the sea is full of fascinating life. There more than 1000 different types of shellfish and fish in the Arabian Sea which can be seen in Hallaniyatislands. The reef is really beautiful in Sothern oman and you can see different types of fish during your dive which include; humpback whales, Sperm Whales, Manta rays, MolaMola. Mobulas, honeycomb moray eels, dragon morays, plentiful reef fish life, sharks, Giant grouper, bream, Snapper Sail Fish and many other different types. The visibility can change quickly in this area and it can vary from 15-100 feet. The water temperature is between 22oC-25oC so usually 5-7mm wetsuit is recommended.

 

Included in your Diving trip: Accommodation, Boat with captain and diving instructor from shuwaimeyah into Hallaniyat islands (~50 km from Ash Shuwaimeyah), up to 2-3 dives a day.
