The prime season in Shuwaymiyah and Hallaniyat islands starts Mid of September till the end of April. The weather around the season is really good and it is hardly rise above 32 degrees during the fishing season. In the Khareef (Monsoon season) (Jun, July and August) the temperature drops and get in the 20s which makes Shuwaymiyah and Salalah a popular destination during this time of the year as a tourist destination. However, the sea gets very rough during Khareef due to the winds which really restrict the access to our fishing places. The best time of catching Giant Trevally (GT) is October, November, March and April.
